Welcome To The â€‹                                                           HISTORIC ST ANTHONY

                      Neighborhood Association

Historic St Anthony Neighborhood Association (SANA) is the registered neighborhood organization for the urban downtown Long Beach area bounded by Alamitos Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, 7th Street and 3rd Street. This neighborhood is a diverse, dynamic neighborhood located amidst the hub of surrounding cultural, learning, and religious institutions in the urban core of Long Beach, CA. First plotted and developed in the 1930's, Historic St Anthony has played a role in the history of Long Beach.

Today Historic St Anthony (SANA) is a vibrant neighborhood known for its eclectic population and beautiful, preserved historic landmark church, and public and parochial schools. It includes Gumbiner Park, which offers a playground, skate park, performance area, picnic area and public art installations. Additionally, because of our communities effort it's more walkable and residents have easy access to mass transit.

Within walking distance our neighborhood includes the Long Beach Heritage award winning St Anthony High School (for historic preservation), two elementary schools (Stevenson Elementary and St Anthony Parish School), and Franklin Middle School. Additionally, two iconic cultural museums (Pacific Islander Ethnic Art Museum - PIEAM), (Museum of Latin American Art - MOLAA) and the historic church parish of Saint Anthony.

SANA is committed to accomplish its mission joining residents, schools, community partners and businesses in activating our neighborhood. SANA is committed to advocating for a clean environment, safe passage and the safety of its children, residents and preserving property within our historic community.
